REM is the Environmental Management agency for Brookdale Mining Limited. REM drafted and obtained approval for the management plans required to comply with consent conditions. REM collects and analyses the water quality data for the mine, and successfully obtains approval for the Annual Work Plan process required by the Department of Conservation and Councils to ensure the Open Cast and Underground components of the mine continue to progress.
