REM provides L&M Energy Limited with resource management and land owner information support for proposed exploration and production wells.
We have lodged and obtained many resource consents for L&M Energy Limited to undertake exploration bores looking for coal seam gas and petroleum, mainly focused in the south of the South Island.
REM obtained Resource Consents with West Coast Regional Coundil, and Access Arrangement with the Department of Conservation for the use of an Accelerated Weight Drop system to conduct seismic studies of certain areas of interest in the West Coast.
In addition, REM successfully obtained resource consents for the now established Kaitangata Coal Seam Gas Pilot Plant and the Ohai Coal Seam Gas Pilot Plant. The later plant is contracted to supply electricity to the New Zealand Aluminium Smelter. Hence, the project included consenting coversion of gas to electricity via an on site generator.
