Rockies Mine has been a working mine on and off for many years under several Coal Mining Licences. These Licences are going to expire in 2010 which requires Rockies Mining Limited to obtain the necessary consents and permissions to continue to operate.

 

REM is engaged by Rockies Mining Limited to lodge and obtain the necessary Mining Permits, Resource Consent with both Buller District and West Coast Regional Council’s and an Access Arrangement and Concession applications with the Department of Conservation to allow the Rockies Mine to continue to operate.  The Licences were successfully merged into one Mining Permit on 12 October 2010 (MP52661).  The consents, access arrangement and concession applications have been lodged and are being processed.
